Double Left-Turn Lanes
Consider a double left-turn lane where the capacity of an existing single left-turn lane cannot accommodate the demand volume or when design peak hour left turns exceed 300 vehicles per hour. Double left-turn lanes must be signalized and have their own signalized phase.
