Design Vehicle - Turning Templates

Turning templates are useful tools in determining the turning paths for each type of Design Vehicle. Additionally, software programs are available to assist with turning path design. See the AASHTO Green Book Chapter 2 for additional turning templates.

The Design Vehicle Turning Movement calculator of this module graphically depicts the turning movement paths for the most common Design Vehicles. The turning templates can be downloaded and are properly scaled on an 8.5”x11” page.
