Raised Pavement Markers

The use of raised pavement markers (RPMs) on roadways has become common nationwide. The benefits of RPMs outweigh the costs where the roadway traffic volumes exceed 3,000 vehicles daily. These retro-reflective markers have good visibility in fog, rain, and at night, when paint or thermal striping is not as effective. RPMs shall be the same color as the markings they substitute or supplement.
